Meet Wild Oak Capital
Eric Nelson
Founding Partner
Eric Nelson is a real estate investor, coach, and founder of Wild Oak Capital. He started in single-family homes and, over the past 12 years, has grown his portfolio to more than 1,200 units.
Originally from Colorado, Eric now lives in Spain with his family, where he continues to invest and coach other motivated investors through his mastermind, Cashflow to Freedom.
His focus is on helping people create more time and freedom in their lives by investing in real estate the right way—with a strong mindset and the right support.
Ben Nelson
Partner
Ben Nelson grew up in Southwestern Colorado, and graduated from the University of Colorado. He has over 15 years of large-scale project management experience, including multiple world-record credits, and routinely manages large projects with multi-million dollar budgets. Working both nationally and internationally, Ben specializes in building relationships with stakeholders, government entities, municipalities, authorities, and institutions to reach common goals and create uncommon results.
Shane Brooks
Partner
Shane Brooks is from southwest Colorado and received a degree in Engineering from Fort Lewis College. Currently, he is a project engineer for a midstream company in Houston, TX. Also, he is a partner with Wild Oak Capital, a value-add multifamily syndication company focused on Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Colorado. Shane has been investing in real estate for over 9 ½ years and currently operates 316 units totaling $31.385 million worth of real estate assets under management along with being a limited partner in another 818 units.
Bonny Wayman
Lead of Asset Management
Bonny received her MBA from the University of Denver and now lives in Southwest Colorado. She worked in event planning, marketing, analytics, and project management before discovering her niche in real estate asset management. Bonny owns and manages single-family rentals, vacation rentals and small multi-family properties and is involved in larger syndications as both a GP and LP. As the multifamily asset manager for Wild Oak Capital, she applies her unique blend of skills and experience to help investors achieve their goals.
Brittany Chesley
Client Engagement Manager
Based in the Salt Lake City suburbs, Brittany is a partner at Wild Oak Capital and brings a strong blend of business ownership, operations, and real estate expertise.
She launched her real estate career with over $3M in commercial transactions in her first year and later expanded her experience by managing operations for a commercial real estate brokerage and a national investor network before turning to investments.
Her background as a business owner enhances her ability to identify value-add opportunities, execute strategies, and drive efficiency and performance.
